FSC®® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®. FSC® has a broad membership that includes environmental and social organizations, timber traders and forest farm operators, minority organizations, responsible businesses, community forestry groups, and others from around the world. FSC® is committed to transforming forest management around the world by setting standards for forests and businesses seeking certification based on the principles of participation, democracy, equity and transparency.Through certification, inspire forest owners and managers, as well as production, processing and trading enterprises along the production and marketing chain to follow social and environmental best practices.

FSC® is the most rigorous forest certification scheme in the world, and the only one that is respected by WWF and Greenpeace. Forest certification is a tool to manage forests in a scientific and responsible way and to use market mechanisms to promote sustainable forest management and achieve environmental, social and economic goals. FSC® trademark on a certified product means that its manufacturing process complies with a rigorous set of requirements, is environmentally appropriate, beneficial to the community, and economically viable. With FSC® certification, we inspire forest owners, operators and the entire supply chain to practice together for a future where "Forests For All Forever".

FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification verifies that FSC® materials have been identified and separated from non-certified and uncontrolled materials during their journey from forests to market along the supply chain. Chain of Custody certification for production and marketing is available to businesses of any size and organizational structure, including individual certification, multi-site certification, and group certification to reduce costs.

Service Content

Chain of Custody (CoC) certification is the path for a product (wood, paper, etc.) from the forest, or in the case of recycled materials, from the recycling site to a place of sale with a declared product or labeled finished product. CoC includes the stages of purchasing, processing, trading and selling, as well as the ownership changes involved in the process to the next stage of the supply chain. Any change in ownership of a CoC certified product should be accompanied by the establishment of a CoC management system.

FSC® aims to provide reliable assurance that products sold under a particular claim originate from well-managed forests, controlled sources, recycled materials, or mixtures of these materials. CoC certification helps goods made from these materials move transparently through the supply chain. The trademarks of certified products and the promotion of the products with the corresponding forest certification trademarks can help consumers make informed decisions based on the commodities and their raw materials when choosing to buy.
